Meet Tammy

Let me take a few moments to introduce myself. My name is Tammy Brothers, married for 30 years and we have 3 beautiful children. I was born and raised on Long Island, in New York, where I began to have a special love for the elderly, which has only strengthened over the years. My family and I relocated to Columbus Ohio in 1989. Columbus is an amazing community to live and work in, we have come to love this community.

As a child, I would check in on aging neighbors, running errands, taking out trash, and offering companionship. I found myself enjoying their company and learned quite a bit for each one, that still touches my life to this day i.e. how to make soap, basics of playing the piano, cooking, Chess, and Chinese checkers.

I have been in the medical field for 29 years. I started out as a Home Health Aide in 1988. In 1990 I went on to become a Registered Nurses Aide. In 1992 I took classes to become a Certified Activity Director. After working in the nursing home setting for 7 years I decided to further my education in the health field. In 1993 while working as an Activity Assistant, I started school to become a Medical Assistant, graduating in 1995. After receiving my degree, I found employment at a Family Practice office where I utilized my skills. I caught on quickly, moving through the ranks and was promoted to Team Leader. I continued to excel in the field, becoming an Office Manager in 2001. As a Medical Assistant, I held this position for 5 years, only to become laid off due to lack of federal funding. At this time, I decided I wanted to go back to my roots, working with the elderly. In 2007 I started my own business, Tammel Homecare Solutions, LLC. We have serviced many clients, all being a rewarding and satisfying experience for the client as well as Tammel Homecare Solutions. We want to continue to build relationship with our community and abroad.
